Natural Lip balm contains oils, butters and beeswax aimed to protect and hydrate your lips.
Lip balm has been around forever. It was invented around 1880 by Charles Browne Fleet. At that time, lip balm or chapstick resembled a small wick-less candle unpackaged and cut into small pieces (from a larger piece) and wrapped in tin foil. Before this in Cleopatra’s time, botanical oils and beeswax were used in lip preparations. Lip balms today are found packaged in different forms from tins to sticks and sometimes contain a soft tint of colour. Most lipstick contain the base ingredients of a lip balm especially the ones that are marketed as moisturizing.
Did you know? Occasional exfoliation of the lips can help with dry lips and facilitate the effectiveness of the lip balm for keeping your lips moisturized.
